Conflict Over Faith

The last message in our series on dealing with conflict in our relationships confronts the conflict we face as a Christian. In a society that is less accepting of biblical truth all the time, how do we handle it when conflict arises over our faith? 1 Peter 4 tells us just that.

Confronting Conflict

The early Christian church faced their share of conflict from all angles. Acts 15 details how they sorted through an internal conflict, which provides a great outline for us to follow as we handle conflict in our own relationships.

Seeking Restoration

How do you handle it when conflict arises? What is our role in fighting a good fight? Join us as we learn from Galatians 6 and Matthew 18.

It Starts at Home

There is no place like home when it comes to relationships – home can bring out the best and the worst in all of us. In Colossians 3 we receive instructions on how to live as those who follow Christ in our homes, so that we can prevent and handle conflict as it comes.

Sharing His Holy Spirit

Jesus continued to do the miraculous even after His resurrection, including appearing to the disciples in a locked room to impart the Holy Spirit to them and give them the gift of discernment.

Healing the People

One of the most repeated and revered miracles of Jesus is the way He healed people of their sickness. While we celebrate and invite the same healing in our own lives, we believe that physical healing also serves to point us to a deeper and more eternal series of healing that Jesus makes available to […]

Calming the Storms

We marvel when we read this story at how Jesus calmed the storm in the Sea of Galilee, but it was the storms brewing in the hearts of His disciples that He was most concerned with. Join us in this study of a miracle of Jesus from Mark 4:35-41.

Feeding the Multitudes

As it is with all of the miracles of Jesus, the feeding of the 5,000 is about so much more than the temporary good Jesus was able to do in the lives of the people. In John 6 Jesus offers us more than a free meal made from scratch, He offers us Himself – the […]

Mark 11:1-11 – Palm Sunday

The gospels of Jesus tell us that the people who celebrated Jesus on Palm Sunday were the same ones who condemned and abandoned Him later that week, leading up to His death and resurrection. Noticing this leads us to ask questions about our own faith: How consistent am I in my relationship with Jesus? Am […]

Matthew 19:16-26 – Ble$$ed

The last “lie we believe” to investigate is often referred to as the prosperity gospel, the idea that if we honor God and have enough faith we should have piles of cash and not a financial care in the world. Join us as we look at a story of Jesus and survey the Scriptures for […]

John 17:20-26 – God Just Wants Me to Be Happy

A prevalent belief in our country is that God just wants us to be happy in this life. We certainly want to be happy and protect our happiness at all costs, but is that temporary sense of well-being the best that God has for us? Join us as we read through a prayer of Jesus […]

God Helps Those Who Help Themselves

This world is full of beliefs about God that aren’t rooted in truth, and as the church, we need to expose them and correct them with biblical knowledge. Our first attempt to do so looks at three stories of Jesus and challenges the mainstream thinking that God is mostly or even only interested in helping […]

Our last study on being still leads us to consider what we can do when worry rises up inside of us. Philippians 4 offers four practical adjustments we can make while we are still to find peace in the midst of our circumstances, no matter what they may be.

1 Timothy 1:3-7 – Before You Speak

In 1 Timothy, the Apostle Paul writes to the young pastor Timothy about helping the people watch their speech in order to avoid meaningless talk and false doctrine, by speaking out of a pure heart, with a good conscience and a sincere faith. Join us as we learn to think before we speak in our […]

Nehemiah 1-2 – Before You Act

One of the hardest things for us to do in this hectic world is to be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him (Psalm 37). Listen in for an introduction to our new series on being still and learn from Nehemiah the benefits and patterns of praying before you act.

Romans 6:1-14 – Why Jesus?
